The Department’s key objective is to meet the needs of the city residents and ensure that infrastructure and facilities comply with the standards and expectations set forth by the City Council.

The Public Works Department is where you head for building permits, property maintenance and building code enforcement. If you are considering any additions or improvements to your home, first check with us to be sure you are compliant.

Permits are required for the following:

*Yard/Garage Sale  *Roofs *Siding  *Occupancy Permit  *Housing Inspection (Needed when moving in and/or out)

*Remodeling *Electrical Work *Exterior Painting *Fencing *Plumbing *Demolition *HVAC *Concrete work *interior alterations

  • pets

  • Landlords

  • Liquor sales
